What You Need to Know
I have been fortunate enough to be involved in restoring and repairing other people's homes, here in France, since 2007.
I have a love of old buildings and have learnt my trade from two truly skilled artisans who have since retired. Each and every project requires individual skills and the ability to sympathetically bring the building back to life.
My clients usually have a good idea of what they wish to achieve, but sometimes by looking at things from a different angle, it can add huge character and charm. Nothing is impossible.
Stone is a medium I am most comfortable working with, be it repairing old interior/exterior walls, or pointing and reforming doorways and windows. Pointing is a speciality. The testimonies and photos on this site go some way to showcasing the difference a well-pointed wall can make. Windows and doors can take on a completely different aspect when stone is exposed and pointed with traditional methods using lime.
